46th Annual Conference Program

The three days 46th Annual Conference of the Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC) organized by the 1st Clustered five Ranges, Pakke, Passa, Leporiang, Bobia and Gotupu Ranges attended by more than 8000 delegates concluded successfully on 15thApril 2018 at Gotupu Baptist Church, Sagalee. The beginning of cluster wise organizing of Annual Conference was inaugurated by hoisting of NBCC flag by its President Mr. John Panye, while welcome address was done by Rev. Tar Choya, General Secretary, Nyishi Baptist Church Council.

In the program NBCC Retired staff Rev. Likha Dodum, Mrs. Khoda Ampi, Secretary Department of Women Affairs NBCC delivered the powerful message from the Bible based on Ephesians 5:15-16 on the theme “Be Careful how you live…as the days are evil…”

While Resource Person Rev. Dr. K. Thanzauva, former General Secretary Baptist Church of Mizoram gave power point presentation on the needs and importance of Clean Election movement in the Nyishi Community and Arunachal Pradesh as whole.

In the Male Group Dance Competition among 49 Pastoral Ranges, Kimin Pastoral Range stood first. Palin Pastoral Range and Doimukh Pastoral Range stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Shri Nabum Tuki, Former Chief Minister cum Hon’ble MLA 15th Sagalee attended on the second day and acknowledged the socio-economic and spiritual development of Nyishi Society by the coming of Christianity particularly the contribution made by Nyishi Baptist Church Council for the up-liftment of the Nyishi community is significant in many areas. He also encouraged working for clean election towards political Changes in the state.

Mr. Techi Tagi Tara, Chairman APSPCB, Pioneer President of NBCC Mr. E.T Tara and many other VIPs and dignitaries attended the program.

Conference concluded with the report by the Conference organizer Mr. Techi Takum and the vote of thanks by Mr. Tana Tagi Tara, Associate General Secretary (Service) followed by roll down and handover of flag by the President to the next organizer (Cluster-X of Capital Ranges) for the  47th Annual Conference 2019.
